Just submitted my painting to the RBC art competition site. I have no idea if I really even qualify, but I entered anyway. Everything happens for a reason. I took the pic that I turned into the painting because my gut told me to, and it was a very personal time and place to me, and actually something I don’t normally paint (i.e - NOT zombies, monsters or killers) but something I’m connected to. Unfortunately I can’t post it online, BUT if I don’t hear anything from June 4th (woah, just realized that’s my Dad’s birthday) - the 15th, I’ll post it. I’ve done BETTER paintings, but nothing as personal to my life, I think. The top prize isn’t even awarded till November or something, but whoever wins, gets $15,000. Finger’s crossed.
